FLANDER

Male
Est DoB: TBD

Flander's story is one of heartbreak and survival.

When he was rescued, Flander was barely hanging in there. His body tells a painful history; broken teeth, swollen limbs, damaged paws and nails worn down from desperation and fighting. He is battling infection and inflammation throughout his body. Every step is difficult and every breath is a reminder of what he's endured.

Flander has developed strong feral behaviours; he is deeply fearful of humans and it's clear he has learned to associate humans with pain, not safety. For years, he lived in a racoon-populated area, fighting for scraps of food and struggling just to survive. The trauma he has experienced is profound.

Right now, Flander is not ready for adoption. He's in the earliest stages of healing and we are giving him the time, space and medical care he so desperately needs. Our team is working to ease his pain, earn his trust and help him rediscover what it means to feel safe.

We don't know what Flander's future will look like yet, but we do know he deserves one filled with gentleness, dignity and peace and he has found that safe haven at LCCR.

While you follow his healing journey, here's how you can help -
