Southbrook’s life could have taken a very different turn.

This tiny boy was abandoned in his pet carrier, hidden behind a concrete barrier in the Southbrook area of town—left with no way to escape, no food, and no voice except his cries. Thankfully, compassion found him. A kind gentleman out for his morning run heard the desperate calls for help and followed the sound to a frightened little kitten who just wanted to be seen.

When Southbrook was rescued, he was dirty, thin, and hungry, with ears that told the story of having been left far too long on his own. But even then—despite everything—he was friendly. He welcomed human hands. He trusted.
