MALE
eDOB: June 5, 2026
Activity Level: Active, Kitten

Some cats see the world a little differently, but that doesn't stop them from embracing life with curiosity, courage, and joy. Tadpole is one of those special kittens.
Born to Marina, one of the Stafford Lake colony rescue cats, Tadpole inherited more than just his mom's handsome tabby looks. Like Marina, this sweet dark tabby boy is vision impaired and likely sees only shadows. While his eyesight may be limited, his ability to play, learn, explore, and form loving bonds is anything but.
Tadpole has been growing up surrounded by family, love, and security. The uncertainty of colony life is behind him, replaced by the comfort of a safe home, a full belly, and plenty of feline companions to share his adventures. Like any kitten, he is curious about the world around him and navigates it using his other senses, proving every day that vision impairment is only a small part of who he is.
What makes Tadpole truly special is his resilience. Despite facing challenges that many cats never experience, he approaches life with the same enthusiasm, playfulness, and determination as any other young kitten. He doesn't dwell on what he cannot see. Instead, he focuses on everything he can experience.
Because kittens thrive with companionship, and because having a feline friend will help him continue to build confidence, Tadpole must be adopted with one of his siblings or cousins, another kitten from LCCR, one of his other family members, or into a home with a friendly young cat already in residence.
Tadpole is looking for a family that will see beyond his visual impairment and recognize the wonderful kitten he truly is: affectionate, adaptable, playful, and full of potential. In return, this brave little boy will offer something extraordinary, a reminder that courage comes in all sizes and that love doesn't depend on perfect vision. All Tadpole needs is someone willing to take a chance on him and discover just how bright his future can be. 🐾❤️
