Meet Cidnee – A Beautiful Soul Learning to Trust

Cidnee's story is one of resilience, patience, and quiet courage.

For nearly a year, this beautiful long-haired grey and black tabby survived by visiting a kind person's deck for food. Recognizing that she needed more support, a caring soul took responsibility for looking after her for the next two years, ensuring she received regular meals and a measure of safety.

While Cidnee isn't truly feral, years of living outdoors and relying on herself have left their mark. She developed many feral-like behaviors and learned that the safest place to be was hidden away from the world. When it became clear that she needed medical care and a chance at a better life, Cidnee was welcomed into the Ranch for rehabilitation.

The transition hasn't always been easy, but Cidnee has been making steady progress. Recently, she reached an exciting milestone and was integrated into our general population of cats, where she now shares space with kitties at all stages of socialization. Watching and learning from her feline friends has helped her continue building confidence.

One of Cidnee's favorite places is the catio, where she can relax in the fresh air and safely watch the world around her. Every day brings small victories. A little less hiding, a little more curiosity, and a little more comfort with the people caring for her. While she remains a shy girl, it's clear that she is slowly discovering that she no longer has to face life alone.

Cidnee's exact age remains a mystery. What we do know is that she is a stunning cat with a gentle spirit who deserves a patient and understanding home.

Cidnee is looking for a family willing to let her move at her own pace. She may never be the cat who greets visitors at the door, but for the right person, the reward of earning her trust will be immeasurable. With time, consistency, and love, we believe Cidnee will continue to blossom into the companion she was always meant to be.
