Meet Trevor – A Brave Little Soul Watched Over From Above
Trevor’s story is nothing short of remarkable. This handsome male tabby was found huddled in a debris pile out in the country—cold, alone, and dangerously exposed—just hours before a severe winter storm swept through the area. His rescue truly felt like a stroke of fate, as though someone was guiding him to safety.
That someone, in a beautiful twist of fate, may very well be the namesake he now carries. Trevor is named in honour of a loved son whose memory was shared with us through a donation. Knowing this, it’s hard not to believe that Trevor had a guardian watching over him in his darkest moments.
Despite what he’s endured, Trevor is incredibly friendly and trusting. He leans into affection, seeks connection, and has already won the hearts of everyone caring for him.
Trevor has been identified as a “wobbly” kitty. This means:
- He walks with a wider stance to keep his balance
- He may shake or tremble, especially when stressed
- His front left leg naturally curls inward
- His neck and head wobble when he eats or drinks
- He may topple over now and then—but he gets right back up
His spirit hasn’t wavered, even if his legs sometimes do.
Trevor is currently in hospital undergoing diagnostics to determine the cause of his wobbliness. Possibilities include:
- Cerebellar hypoplasia (CH)
- Old trauma or injury
- Another neurological condition
While he’s there, he will also be neutered and receive the full medical support he needs to ensure a comfortable, healthy future.
It’s clear Trevor once knew life in a home—he wasn’t a feral stray. That makes his survival outdoors, especially in winter conditions, even more astonishing. His resilience is a testament to his will to live.
Trevor is still in the early stages of his recovery and diagnostic journey.
He is not yet available for adoption, but he is safe, warm, loved, and finally getting the care he has long deserved.
