Some cats are mothers by circumstance. Bamboo is a mother by heart.

This beautiful dilute calico-tabby spent months on the rescue list while living in a colony at a local lumberyard. Just when rescuers were preparing to help her, she disappeared—only to turn up at a nearby colony. Then came a call from a rail crew who had spotted three tiny, sick kittens beneath a fence. Bamboo and her babies were finally brought to safety.

Her original three kittens arrived with upper respiratory infections, but with care and love they have healed and thrived. Bamboo, however, wasn't finished mothering. Soon after her rescue, she welcomed three orphaned kittens into her family, caring for them as if they were her own. Then she opened her heart once again to yet another orphan in need. In just a few short weeks, Bamboo has lovingly raised seven kittens.
Despite an old injury that left her with a globe eye, Bamboo's beauty shines through in every way. Gentle, trusting, and easy to handle, she is clearly familiar with people from her time at a managed feeding station. She greets kindness with kindness and has proven herself to be a calm, devoted companion.

After dedicating herself to raising so many little ones, Bamboo deserves a home where she can finally be the one receiving the care and attention. This extraordinary girl has spent her life looking after others. Now it's her turn to be cherished.
