Meet Essence - a Brave Mama on her Journey to Trust.

Essence is a beautiful, resilient soul who was rescued at a local business where she was doing her best to care for six tiny kittens. This feral mama has shown incredible strength and devotion, and now she's safe, warm, and slowly learning what it means to feel secure.

Essence is a sleek, striking female Calico with a quiet presence and watchful eyes. She's making small, brave steps every day and can often be seen watching the world go by from a quiet corner. Her volunteers are giving her the time and space she needs to continue getting comfortable, and she's beginning to understand that gentle voices and soft touches can mean safety, not fear.

Essence's kittens thrived under her care and some have already gone to their forever homes. Essence is still learning to trust humans and will need a patient, understanding adopter when the time comes - someone who respects her boundaries and celebrates her progress, no matter how small. Essence would do best to be adopted with one of her remaining kittens, Citrine and/or Shale, as she has demonstrated she is very close to both of those boys and they love their momma.
